the guard squirrel.
Meet Sigmund the bobble-head Squirrel. Sigmund is guarding my new Piddleloop kit from me. Sigmund knows I have too many projects on the needles. Sigmund is standing guard until I finish some things.
Ain't he cute? Jennifer gave him to me yesterday, and he has been my constant companion since. He makes me laugh every single time I see him. (for those of you who have are thinking, "what's with the squirrels?" see the "squirrel story" in the side bar.) Thank you, Jen!
OK, the elastic I bought yesterday were for these.
Yarn: Shine sport
Pattern: Baby Bells from the Blue Blog.
Notes: the only thing I did differently, was I used ribbon as the drawstring.
OK, no more baby things for a while.
I really need to start on some string bags. I get a lot of hits for the string bag pattern, but no one seems to be brave enough to join the knit-along.
Some of you have asked about the dumpster. We are tearing down our pool this weekend. It is old and worn, and ugly. I have been wanting to get rid of it for a while now, and now that we are moving, I have won. Maybe I'll get my redecorated bedroom just in time for the move too. heh.

I might have to find a guard squirrel of my own. Must.Finish.Something.
Nice piddleloop kit. Jealous!

I "met" a squirrel yesterday not 3 feet from the door of my apartment complex. I sat down on the stoop and we pondered each other for a minute or so. I asked him if he was a relative of yours or Cory's old friend. He twitched his nose at me.
:)
Yup, I'm a dork.

Sigmund...very funny, is it a psychology babble slip or did you not catch that?

That's hilarious! We have a family of squirrels that I always have to buy peanuts for. I even have some pics for the blog. What's with the string bag thing? I got a crocheted version (that I'll be working on tonight) I'd be happy to join the "along" :) That's actually part of my next post. The pants are adorable & I do like the ribbon closure.

I don't know. I think, if you really wanted at that kit, you could take the squirrel!
But it's nice he's there to make you laugh!
